Everything You Need to Know
Quick answers to the most common questions about mobile notary services in San Diego.
About Mobile Notary Services
A mobile notary is a commissioned notary public who travels to your location — your home, office, hospital, or any other convenient place — to witness and notarize your documents. This eliminates the need for you to travel to a notary office or bank.
I serve all of San Diego County, including downtown San Diego, La Jolla, Chula Vista, El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Carlsbad, National City, Santee, Poway, San Marcos, Vista, and surrounding communities.
I'm available 7 days a week, including evenings and weekends. I understand that important documents don't always wait for business hours, so I work to accommodate your schedule.
In many cases I can accommodate same-day or next-day appointments. Call or submit a booking request and I'll confirm availability as quickly as possible.
What to Bring & Prepare
You'll need a current, government-issued photo ID. Acceptable forms include a driver's license, state ID card, U.S. passport, or military ID. The ID must not be expired.
No — please do not sign the documents beforehand. The notary must witness your signature in person. Signing before the appointment may invalidate the notarization.
In some cases, yes — just ask when you book. If you let me know ahead of time what you need printed, I can bring certain documents with me so everything is ready when I arrive. A small printing fee may apply.
Pricing & Fees
Fees vary depending on the type of document and number of signatures required. California law caps the notary fee at $15 per notarized signature. A travel fee is added based on your location. Contact me for a specific quote for your documents.
Yes, a travel fee applies based on your location within San Diego County. This covers my time and travel to come to you. The fee is discussed upfront when you book — no surprises.
I accept cash, Venmo, Zelle, and major credit/debit cards. Payment is due at the time of service.
The Notarization Process
I'll verify your identity using your government-issued ID, confirm you're signing willingly and understand the document, witness your signature, and apply my official notary seal and signature. The whole process typically takes 15–30 minutes depending on the number of documents.
Yes. I regularly travel to hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living communities throughout San Diego County. I'm experienced in working with patients and families in sensitive situations.
I can notarize documents written in any language, as long as I can communicate with the signer in English to verify their identity and willingness to sign. I cannot translate documents.
If a document is rejected due to a notarial error on my part, I will return to correct it at no additional charge. However, if the issue is with the document itself (incorrect form, missing information, etc.), a new appointment fee may apply.
